Shipping & Payment
Free USPS shipping on all orders over $100.00.
Orders are shipped within 48 hours of placement, pending credit approval. We are unable to ship on weekends and federal holidays; your order will be sent the following business day for regular shipping. If you are requesting 2 Day Air or Overnight shipping the order must be received by no later than 11:00am to go out with UPS that same day. Orders will not be delivered on Saturday or Sunday. Orders that were placed 2 Day Air on Thursday will be delivered the following week. We are unable to split shipments between addresses. Please place multiple orders if you need merchandise to be shipped to two or more locations. Our shipping and handling charges cover the expenses of processing, carefully packing, and delivering your order to you in a timely fashion.
You will have two options upon check out: USPS (United States Postal Service) or UPS (United Parcel Service). USPS packages are shipped Priority Mail for a flat rate of $7.00 and can be delivered to PO boxes. UPS regular ground shipping costs $10.00, does not deliver to PO boxes, and usually requires a signature. UPS also offers faster shipping methods for an additional cost (see below). Shipping is free for purchases over $100 dollars if USPS is chosen as your method of shipping. If you purchase over $100.00 and choose UPS you will be charged according to the method chosen UPS ground $10, UPS 2 Day $30 and UPS or Overnight $50.
All orders will arrive in plain boxes. Inside, you’ll find the items you ordered with the original tags attached, sealed in protective plastic and tissued. If you indicate at checkout that your purchase is a gift, the tags will remain attached but the prices will be cut off and unknown to the recipient. We take great care to examine by merchandise before sealing and double check your order to ensure that what you ordered is what is in your box so receive only the best quality from A Tropical Affair.
Each shipment will contain a packing slip without prices that can be used as a return form. Your itemized receipt will be e-mailed to you with all pertinent cost information.
Priority Mail is $7.00 for delivery within the domestic US, Hawaii, and Alaska within 5 days.
Domestic UPS Shipping Rates:
UPS Ground $10.
Orders shipped standard delivery will arrive via UPS ground. Delivery times vary based on location, but should arrive within 5 to 10 business days. Please allow 14 days total for standard shipping before contacting us.
UPS 2 Day Air $30.
Orders shipped via UPS 2 Day Air will arrive in approximately 2 business days (allow an extra day for some rural locations).
UPS Next Day Air $50.
Overnight orders placed by 11 AM Pacific Time Monday through Friday will ship out the same business day. Orders placed after that time will be shipped on the next business day.
For shipments to Alaska and Hawaii, please note that $30 will be added to the cost of the above shipping methods. Unfortunately, we do not yet offer shipping to Puerto Rico, the US Virgin Islands, or overseas.

USPS is closed and UPS will be shipping. So if you need a package to go out on Monday you must choose UPS or wait till Tuesday.
If shipping USPS please ship by no later than Monday February 6th for best results.
If shipping UPS: To make sure your orders arrive in time for Valentine's day make sure to ship by the following dates. All of which should get the gift to its destination by Tuesday February 14th.

Monday, February 20, 2012 - President's Day we will not be shipping USPS but will ship UPS. If you have to have it shipped that day please choose the UPS option.

Friday, November 12, 2012 - Veterans Day We will not be shipping USPS. If you have to have it shipped that day please choose the UPS option.
Thursday, November 22, 2012 - Thanksgiving Day We will not be shipping
In November we will be closed from 22th to the 26nd due to the Thanksgiving Holiday. Any orders placed on the 23th before 11:00am will be shipped that same day, but will not be delivered until the following week. Please note if you need overnight or 2 Day Air shipping it will not be available at that time.
December 21, 2012 before 11am is the last time to ship UPS overnight or 2 day air for delivery by Monday the 24th.
December 12, 2012 last day to ship UPS regular ground for delivery by Monday the 24th.
December 26, 2012 and January 2, 2012 UPS is closed and will not be shipping.
December the 7, 2012 last day to ship USPS Canadian International shipping.
December 14, 2012 is the Last Day to ship USPS to arrive by Monday the 24th.
All packages must be placed by 11:00am for shipping that day. Please ship early if you are worried about an order arriving on time. Have a great Holiday.

Tracking Your Shipment:
When your package has shipped, we will send you a confirmation e-mail that includes the tracking number so that you may follow the progress of your order.
Methods of Payment:
We gladly accept Visa, Mastercard, and American Express credit cards. We cannot accept cash, checks, money orders, or Paypal at this time. As required by law, sales tax of 8.75% will be added to orders shipped to recipients within the state of California. Unfortunately, gift cards and credits that were issued at our retail store cannot be used to pay for orders from this website. Please call our store at (805) 730-1625 for assistance redeeming these forms of payment. The majority of the merchandise you see on this website will be available to you at the store. Our cheerful staff will help you make your purchase, and your order will be shipped in accordance with the shipping guidelines posted on this site.
If your shipment is returned to us unopened, your credit card will be refunded less shipping costs unless the items purchased were on sale then it is not returnable or exchangeable and you will not be credited. Should you have an exchange that requires multiple shipments, the appropriate shipping and handling fees will be charged to the credit card used to pay for the order, unless you instruct us to use a different one.
